Treatment of Disease, Disorder or Injury (TDDI)

Treatment of Disease, Disorder or Injury (TDDI)

A1 Care – Regulated TDDI Care Delivered Safely at Home

At A1 Care, our Treatment of Disease, Disorder or Injury (TDDI) service provides regulated clinical care at home for individuals who require support with specific medical or health-related needs.

TDDI care goes beyond standard personal care. It involves trained and assessed carers delivering delegated healthcare tasks safely, competently, and in line with professional guidance and individual care plans.

Who Is TDDI Support For?

Our TDDI service is suitable for individuals who require support with clinical or health-related tasks due to:

  • Long-term medical conditions

  • Neurological disorders

  • Physical disabilities with medical complexity

  • Recovery following illness, surgery, or injury

  • Progressive or degenerative conditions

TDDI care is provided following a full assessment and where clinical tasks can be safely delivered by trained carers under agreed protocols.

Clinical Tasks We Support With

Depending on individual assessment and care planning, our TDDI support may include:

  • Medication administration (including complex medication regimes)

  • Support with long-term conditions

  • Monitoring of health symptoms and changes

  • Support following hospital discharge

  • Assistance with prescribed treatments

  • Escalation and reporting of clinical concerns

All tasks are delivered in line with written care plans, risk assessments, and competency sign-off.

Strong Clinical Governance and Oversight

Clinical safety is at the core of our TDDI service.

We ensure:

  • Clear delegation and task authorisation

  • Competency-based training and assessment

  • Ongoing supervision and refresher training

  • Accurate record-keeping and escalation procedures

  • Robust incident reporting and learning processes

Our systems ensure carers are not only trained, but assessed as competent before delivering any TDDI-related task.

Skilled and Competent Carers

Carers delivering TDDI support are carefully selected and receive additional training relevant to the tasks they perform.

Training includes:

  • Condition-specific awareness

  • Medication safety

  • Infection prevention and control

  • Safeguarding and mental capacity

  • Escalation and emergency procedures

Only carers who have been assessed as competent are permitted to deliver TDDI tasks.

Personalised Clinical Care Planning

Every TDDI package is built around a bespoke care plan, developed in collaboration with:

  • The individual

  • Family members or representatives

  • Healthcare professionals where required

Care plans are regularly reviewed to ensure they remain safe, appropriate, and responsive to changing needs.

A Responsible, Family-Led Provider

As a family-run organisation, we take our responsibility seriously when delivering regulated clinical care.

We are committed to:

  • Safe, effective treatment

  • Transparency and accountability

  • Respect for dignity and choice

  • High clinical standards within a home environment
